Use of Matlab Toolboxes for Performance Characteristics of SEIG under Varying Capacitance and Load Conditions

In the present paper Matlab toolboxes are employed to estimate the steady state performance of self excited induction generator [SEIG]. Efforts are made to predict the performance of such generator with different values of excitation capacitance under any operating condition. Simulated results as obtained using direct search toolbox, genetic algorithm toolbox and optimization toolbox are compared with experimental results on a test machine. A close comparison proves the superiority of genetic algorithm [GA] toolbox in contrast to others.
